Col. Bainsla holds talks with minister
Gujjar leader K.S. Bainsla held a long meeting with energy minister Jitendar Singh on Tuesday evening to resolve the quota issue. “Talks were positive,” said Mr Bainsla while coming out of the meeting room. He indicated that there will be a meeting with chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday.
Mr Bainsla left Pilukapura under Bhararpur district on Tuesday morning saying he was going to Jaipur to explore possibilities for a peace pact. The Gujjar leader reached Mr Singh’s residence with a group of 16 community members and held a meeting on the demands.
The government had formed a three-member ministerial committee and Mr Singh is one of the member, who also represents the Gujjar community. ‘’The government was positive on our demands like employment to affected community members who suffered during the past agitation, he said.
Mr Bainsla said the government also promised to strengthen Devnarayan Board for welfare of the community. A Gujjar leader said there will be a meeting with the three-member ministerial committee on Wednesday and there after final meeting will be held with the CM.
Mr Singh told mediapersons that the talks were held in a cordial atmosphere and most of the issues were resolved amicably while two issues will be resolved soon. ‘’You see ice is melting,” Mr Singh said.
