‘CII eager to work with new govt’

Commenting on the election results for West Bengal, CII director-general Chandrajit Banerjee congratulated the incoming government led by Mamata Banerjee. “The clear mandate given by the people of West Bengal would help the state government to carry out its action agenda for the economic and industrial development of the

state most effectively. CII looks forward to working closely with the new government to exploit the inherent strength of Bengal in several areas which would include manufacturing, services and especially the social sectors namely education & health,” Mr Banerjee said.
Commenting on the Tamil Nadu elections, Mr Banerjee congratulated the incoming government in Tamil Nadu, led by J. Jayalalithaa. He said that CII has had the opportunity to work closely with her government in the past and would look forward to a strong partnership between industry and the state.
