CBSE question paper banks for Classes 9, 10
The Central Board for Secondary Education will send question paper banks in different subjects for Classes 9 and 10 in order to ensure standards. According to a CBSE circular, the board will provide question paper banks for English Communicative, English Language and Literature, Hindi-A, Hindi-B, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Communicative Sanskrit.
In other subjects, the schools will administer their own question papers based on Sample Question Paper pattern available on board’s website. The board will send separate CDs containing Question Paper Banks for Classes 9 and 10 and the schools may pick up one question paper for each subject, mix and match or prepare its own question paper.
The schools will conduct the SA-II for Class 9 during the first half of March, the SA-II for Class 10 will be conducted during the second half of March.
The copies will be checked in the schools. The answersheets must be preserved and kept in safe custody for at least a period of three years (in case of Class 9) and two years (in case of Class 10) along with question papers and marking scheme for any verification by the board subsequently.
The marks are not to be communicated to Class 10 students. The results will be declared in May when the board will declare the result of the students who undertook board exams for Class 10, as it has become optional from this academic year.
