CBI moves against Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a charge sheet against Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and 12 others in the disproportionate assets case.

The case gathered pace earlier this week when CBI officials questioned former mines and geology director V.D. Rajagopal in connection with the case.

Mr. Rajagopal, who is in prison in connection with the illegal mining case involving the Obulapuram Mining Company, was questioned by the CBI after the agency sought permission from the AP High Court.

The agency has shifted its focus in the case, and is now looking at alleged irregularities in granting of projects and leases to investors in the companies owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
