CBI chargesheet April 2nd week
The CBI probe into the Tulsiram Prajapati alleged fake encounter case has revealed that officials of the Gujarat and Rajasthan police reportedly kept him at a guesthouse in Ambaji area of Banaskantha district a day before he was killed in an encounter on December 28, 2006.
The agency, which has completed its probe into the alleged fake encounter case, is expected to file its chargesheet in the second week of April. Probe has further revealed that Tulsiram was called by officials of the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat in a flat situated in Danilimda where Sohrabuddin and Kausar bi were present on November 24, 2005, sources said.
Sources further said, “The ATS officials got identified Sohrabuddin and Kausar bi through Tulsiram. Later, probe has revealed, ATS officials killed Sohrabuddin in an alleged encounter on November 26, 2005. Tulsiram was arrested by Rajasthan Police near Udaipur on the same day. Since Tulsiram was a material witness to the killing of Sohrabuddin and disappearance of Kausar bi, ATS officials allegedly decided to eliminate him also.”
“The accused officials of Gujarat and Rajasthan police brought Tulsiram to a guest house in Ambaji area on December 27. Finally, he was killed in an alleged fake encounter on December 28,” sources said. Scrutiny of the forensic reports by the agency has further revealed that Tulsiram did not fire even a single bullet on cops during the incident. The agency will mention the name of accused police officials in the chargesheet, sources said adding total seven police officials, including two Rajasthan cops, will be named as accused in the report.
