CAT results out briefly on Web; officials deny
Even as the authorities deny it, students could access the CAT results for more than 90 minutes on Monday, a week before the scheduled announcement on January 12.
In Ahmedabad, many students could see their results and scorecards on the website. However, the website showcasing results and scores apparently disappeared after 3 pm.
However, CAT 2010 convenor Himanshu Rai denied the results were leaked or that the website was hacked. But, according to insiders, many exam-takers noticed their scorecards during the testing of the website. “The students who accessed their results said they could download their scorecards, which had a photograph of the candidate, contact details, besides section-wise sco-res,” an insider said. This newspaper also got a copy of a candidate’s scorecard downloaded on Monday.
