UP calls for CBI probe in 3 murders
The Uttar Pradesh government has recommended CBI inquiries into three murders that rocked the state in recent weeks.
According to principal home secretary R.M. Srivastava, the state government has recommended CBI inquiries into the murders of BSP leader Sarvesh Singh Seepu in Azamgarh, a MBBS student in Moradabad and a research scholar in Agra.
Sarvesh Singh Seepu was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Azamgarh on July 19 and his family sat on hungerstrike on Thursday, demanding a CBI probe.
In the second case, Neeraj Bhadana was reportedly thrown down from the fifth floor of the girls’ hostel on July 6.
The third case is related to the murder of a research scholar Neha Sharma.
