BSY, Ananth seek berths for supporters
The next round of expansion of the Cabinet will prove a thorny affair for Karnataka chief minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda as his predecessor B.S. Yeddyurappa, general secretary H.N. Ananth Kumar and state unit president K.S. Eshwarappa locked in a bitter fight to get their supporters into the ministry.
Sources in the party said the decision of senior Central leaders of the BJP to reserve two or three berths for the Reddy brothers or their supporters would mean induction of four or five ministers, making it difficult for the chief minister to placate these three leaders. While Mr Yeddyurappa would be keen to get even by demanding more positions for his camp followers, Mr Eshwarappa and Mr Kumar would mount pressure for the inclusion of state unit secretary C.T. Ravi.
