BSP GOT ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT FROM PEOPLE: SP
UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday responded to the charges levelled against his government at a rally by Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati and said that the people of the state had given the BSP the “ultimate punishment by ousting them from power”.
“The extent of loot in the name of Dr Ambedkar was unimaginable. If the BSP was a true follower of Ambedkar, the party would not have indulged in massive loot in the construction of memorials, statues and parks set up in the state in his name,“ the chief minister said in Azamgarh where he had gone to distribute unemployment and Kanya Vidya Dhan cheques to the beneficiaries.
He further termed the BSP rally a “Jaan Bachao” rally which had been organised to counter the scams of the earlier BSP government that were emerging and the involvement of BSP ministers in them.
Countering the BSP allegation of political vendetta, the chief minister said that fake criminal cases had been set up against Samajwadi workers in the previous rule which smacked of political vendetta.
