BSP denies maya nrega remark

The BSP on Wednesday denied that UP chief minister Mayawati had ever criticised the NREGS programme but had merely offered suggestions to improve the scheme.

In a press statement, BSP state president Swami Prasad Maurya said that Mr Gandhi had put up baseless facts and wrong information before the people.
The press statement further said that road shows were certainly not useful in getting to know the real issues concerning people and did not provide any benefit to the common man. This was in reference to Mr Gandhi’s statement in which he criticised today’s leaders for using helicopters and avoiding interaction with the people.
