BSP, BJP MLAs join Samajwadis

Another BSP MLA, Guddu Pandit a.k.a. Bhagwan Sharma, has defected to the Samajwadi Party.

Guddu Pandit, who has over a dozen criminal cases against his name, has been jailed twice in the Mayawati regime — once on charges of abduction and rape and then on charges of kidnapping panchayat members.
Pandit won the Dibai Assembly seat in 2007.
Two BJP MLAs — Rajendra Singh from Fatehabad in Agra and Yashpal Singh Chauhan from Sikandaramau in Mahamaya Nagar — also joined the Samajwadi Party.
