Brahmin association seeks Karunanidhi's arrest
The Brahmin Youth Federation of India (BYFI) has filed a complaint seeking the arrest of former chief minister M. Karunanidhi on charges of promoting communal hatred and causing mental agony by hurting the sentiments of the Brahmin community.
The complaint by the BYFI national secretary, K. Ramasubramiam, on February 22 was handed over to city police commissioner T.K. Sundaramurthy, who has assured that suitable action would be taken.
The complaint follows the statement made during the centenary celebrations of the Dravidian movement where Karunanidhi had reportedly stated that Brahmins would be made to shiver in fear.
