BPL headcount, caste census from June

The Union Cabinet Thursday gave formal approval for the politically sensitive caste census. This will be done along with a headcount of those living below the poverty line.
BPL census data is collected every five years.
The BPL headcount and caste and religion enumeration will begin in June and be over by the yearend. This year’s BPL census will be in both urban and rural areas.
