BJP leader arrest adds new angle
The latest arrest of a ruling Bharatiya Janata Party corporator from Dewas in the Sunil Joshi murder case adds a new dimension to the killing of the RSS pracharak, who was wanted in the Ajmer blast case.
Sunil Joshi, who was also an accused in the murder of a local Congress leader, was killed at Dewas in December 2007.
The police arrested Ramchandra Khati, the ruling Bhjaratiya Janata Party corporator representing Palnagar (ward 44) falling on the Dewas by-pass road on Monday afternoon. He was presented in court and sent to police remand till Friday. With the latest arrest, the number of those in detention in the Sunil Joshi murder case has gone up to four.
Two more alleged culprits in this case are still at large.
When contacted, a Dewas police source said that Ramchandra Khati has been arrested on the basis of fresh evidence uncovered during the course of investigation.
When asked whether this was the outcome of the interrogation of those who had already been arrested, the police source refused to elaborate.
