BJP had 1,000 burqas stitched for rally: Diggy
On the eve of the BJP’s “Mahakumbh” rally to be held in Bhopal on Wednesday, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh alleged that the ruling BJP got 10,000 burqas stitched to fake support of the minority Muslim voters during this event. He went on to alleged that a hefty amount had been paid in advance for this purpose by the director of a construction company.
Mr Singh, who made this allegation at Indore on Tuesday, also distributed to media-persons copies of a bill issued by Zeenat Tailors of Indore. Reacting sharply to the Congress leader’s allegation, state minister for industry Kailash Vijayvargiya told journalists at a press conference held at the state BJP headquarters that the tailoring establishment has denied receiving any such order. He also circulated the copy of a complaint lodged with the Indore inspector-general of police by the proprietor Zeenat Tailors, who has sought action against those spreading wrong information.
Mr Vijayvargiya said that Mr Singh should stop spoiling the atmosphere of communal amity in MP.
