BJP: Anna does not have full info on bhatt

The BJP on Tuesday maintained anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare did not have full details of arrested IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt’s case, when he made remarks against the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. Defending Mr Bhatt’s arrest,

the party maintained the case is following the legal process. Describing Opposition’s attack against Mr Modi as a “sad state of affairs,” the party said it seems talking anti-Modi has become “fashionable.”
Earlier during the day Mr Hazare, in Ralegan Siddhi, had said Mr Modi had done “wrong” by arresting Bhatt as the matter was with the Supreme Court. It could be mentioned that the BJP had come out in full support of Mr Hazare’s anti-corruption campaign, with its chief Nitin Gadkari claiming his party was ready to march under Mr Hazare’s leadership against the corruption issue. “The action has been taken against Bhatt as he misused his position,” BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.
