Bijapur: 2 Naxals killed in police ops

At least two suspected Maoists were on Wednesday killed in a fierce encounter with security personnel at Gornamathali in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, the police said.
The police suspects four more ultras may have been killed in the two-hour long gun battle that began at around 6.45 pm in the forested village.
According to the police, a search party of the district force (DF), an anti-Naxal force of the Chhattisgarh police, was suddenly attacked by a group of armed insurgents, who were hiding in the forest at Gornamathali. The security personnel soon regrouped and retaliated, leading to the gun battle.
