Bhojpuri language in Eighth Schedule?

The leader of the House in Lok Sabha Pranab Mukherjee assured the House that the government could consider inclusion of Rajasthani and Bhojpuri languages in the Eighth Schedule only after a proper debate on the issue.
Mr Pranab Mukherjee asked the members, who wanted a reply from the government on the calling attention motion, that the House can have a discussion on a substantive motion as time was not available in the current session.
“We can have a substantive discussion in the next session because we do not take any decision under the Calling Attention. If you want to have any, then there are other parliamentary mechanisms through which you can have the discussion,” said Mr Pranab Mukherjee.
The matter was raised by Congress Member of Parliament Sanjay Nirupam and supported by another congress MP Jagdambika Pal and RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
Rashtriya Janata Dal, JD(U) and the Samajwadi Party members too wanted a reply from the government on the issue.

‘N-liability bill passed in haste’

Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Monday alleged that the nuclear liability bill was passed in “haste” keeping in mind US President Barack Obama’s proposed visit.
Though the BJP supported the bill, Mr Sinha claimed several lacunae still remain in the “subservient” legislation.
“This bill has made us subservient to the US. The bill is going to further encumber us. It will be an act of bondage and India will find it difficult to maintain its hard fought freedom,” Mr Sinha said at a function organised by his party on the issue.
He said alleged that the UPA government had already given US the right to set up two reactors in India under the Arrangement and Procedures Agreement once the bill is passed.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
