BHARATPUR AUTHORITIES GEAR UP FOR MEET

The authorities in Bharatpur have intensified security arrangements in view of the proposed “Mahap-anchayat” on Monday at Kumher town by scion of ex-royal and former MP Vishvendra Singh. The administration has given conditional permission for the gathering but have also imposed precautionary measures. Mr Singh had called the “Mahapanchayat” to discuss about a book authored by Rao Raghuraj Singh,who is member of the former royal family. Mr Singh said it has tarnished the image of the erstwhile rulers. The issue turned ugly when a group of Mr Singh’s supporters protested at a hotel run by Rao Raghuraj Singh and an unknown assailant fired on the crowd.

Indian students discover 5 asteroids
New Delhi, Sept. 4: Five asteroids, including a rare Trojan asteroid, have been discovered by 10 Indian students during an international astronomy project.
Of the 10 students, two are from Delhi, who discovered a main belt asteroid (2011 QM14) in August as part of the All India Asteroid Search Campaign (AIASC). Vaibhav Sapra and Sharanjeet Singh, both Class 12 students of Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, will get an opportunity to name the asteroid. The asteroid search campaign was conducted by NGO Science Popularisation Association of Communicators and Educators along with the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC), an international educational outreach programme, SPACE director C.B. 11 IPS OFFICERS TRANSFERRED IN U.P.

The Mayawati government, on Sunday, transferred 11 IPS officers, including district police chiefs.
According to the official spoke-sman, Deputy Inspector General of Police PAC Lucknow, Jai Narain Singh, has been transferred as DIG Saharanpur replacing B.N. Singh, who has been shifted to the Allahabad police headquarters. Commandant 24 PAC, V.K. Dohre, has been posted as SP Ambedkar Nagar in the place of Beena Bhukesh, who has been transferred as commandant 9 PAC with additional charge of 24 PAC. SP Fatehpur Ram Bharose has replaced SP Ballia, Ram Swaroop, who has been transferred as commandant 4 PAC.
