Auto driver rapes woman

An anonymous auto driver allegedly raped a woman at HAL colony, at Jeedimetla, on Sunday midnight.
The alleged rapist, who realised that the 32-year-old victim is new to the city, took her to a deserted place and allegedly raped her.

The woman, who is a native of Miryalaguda, was found crying on the roadside by the locals, who informed the police instantly.
The Jeedimetla police said that she was on her way to her relative’s house, at Suraram colony, when the incident occurred. The alleged offender had fled from the area before the police and locals reached the spot.
The woman told the police that she had quarrelled with her husband, and came to the city on Sunday, from Miryalaguda, and was proceeding to Suraram colony. In the night, she got into an auto rickshaw, and gave her relative’s house address to the driver.
