Aspiring Kannada actress stabbed

An aspiring Kannada film actress was allegedly stabbed by her lover at their residence here on Tuesday and suffered multiple injuries, police said.

The 23 year-old actress Soumya has been hospitalised and her condition was stated to be serious, they said.

Her lover, a dismissed police constable,who stabbed himself after inflicting stab injuries on Soumya, was also been hospitalised, police said.

The duo were living together. Suspecting her fidelity, Anil stabbed her, police said.

However, in her statement to the police, Soumya charged Anil of subjecting her to mental and physical harassment.
