An Army officer points his weapon at the crowd as he helps an Islamist man leave Cairo’s Al-Fateh mosque where supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi were holed up on Saturday. The police cleared Islamist protesters from the mosque on Saturday after a standoff that included exchanges of fire, as the death toll from four days of violence surpassed 750. Egyptian security forces dragged supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsi from the mosque, passing through massive angry crowds who tried to beat the Islamists, calling them “terrorists”.
