Army asked to polish Games work
It’s the Army to the rescue once again. It has now been requested by civil authorities to rush in 60 civilian “tradesmen” — plumbers, carpenters and electricians — belonging to the Military Engineering Service (MES) to help shore up the facilities at the Commonwealth Games Village. Sources said the request has been accepted and the tradesmen are being provided.
The MES comprises both military personnel and civilians.
