AP Singh appointed as new CBI director
New Delhi, Nov. 30: Even as the CBI is conducting investigations into two of the most high profile scams, the 2G spectrum scam and the CWG corruption cases, the newly-appointed CBI director, Mr A.P. Singh, on Tuesday said that the CBI will not buckle under any pressure.
Mr Singh had held the post of additional director general in the BSF and is a recipient of Indian Police Medal and President’s Police Medal.
The name of the 58-year-old officer for post of CBI director was cleared by the Appointments’ Committee of the Cabinet, headed by the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh.
