AP Cong MLAs play dual game
The double game being played by some Congress MLAs of supporting both Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as well as rebel Jagan Mohan Reddy is causing much confusion among the Congress cadres.
When the chief minister or ministers deputed by him warn the MLAs not to associate with Mr Reddy, they assure him that they are with the Congress. But the very next day, the same MLAs will be seen at Mr Reddy’s Deeksha site, assuring him that they are with him.
This double game was questioned in the AICC’s routine daily briefing on Friday evening with AICC’s chief spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi warning that party MLAs dancing attendance on Mr Reddy will be viewed seriously and may attract disciplinary action.
Senior Congress leader and five-term MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao also told a media conference on Friday that Congress MLAs attending Mr Reddy’s camp can be viewed as being an anti-party activity. But when mediapersons quizzed PCC president D. Srinivas about this, he did not reply.

Party warns of action on legislators
AGE CORRESPONDENT
NEW DELHI
Dec. 24: Taking strong exception to the presence of party MLAs, MLCs and an MP in the 48-hour hungerstrike by former Congress MP Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Congress has warned of disciplinary action if party legislators were found acting against the interests of the party.
Party spokesperson Absidhek Manu Singhvi told mediapersons in the national capital, “If and when any act of indiscipline is found in a credible sense, appropriate action will be taken.”
Mr Jagan, while leading a 48-hour hungerstrike in Vijayawada in support of higher compensation for the rain-hit farmers of the state, had paraded 22 MLAs, 3 MLCs and an MP.
