Anti-Telangana group mounts pressure
New Delhi: Union ministers from non-Telangana region met Congress party incharge of Andhra Pradesh Digvijaya Singh here to make one last attempt against splitting the state.
Union ministers Chiranjeevi, Pallam Raju and other senior leaders from the region had an hour-long meeting with Singh. Emerging from the meeting, Pallam Raju hoped that the state will not be split as it will have “long-term adverse implications.”

Meanwhile, leaders from Telangana also held a series of meetings here and expressed confidence that a positive decision on Telangana would be announced today.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha expressed confidence that the state of Telangana will become a reality. "I am 100 percent positive that Telangana will be a reality," he said. Narasimha said.
Asked if there is a confusion on the issue of the two Rayalaseema districts and status of Hyderabad, he said: "There is no dispute at all. There are no apprehensions."
"Everything will be settled today," he added.
