Anger in the country has to be brought down: Rahul
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that there was a great deal of anger in India and efforts must be made to reduce this anger.
“Hindustan mein gussa bahut hai, hume is gusse ko kam karna hoga (There was a “lot of anger” in India which should be brought down). This anger blinds us. The country should move forward, taking all sections along with it. An effort must be made to treat everyone with love and anger will automatically get washed away,” he said while addressing a function at the foundation stone laying ceremony for a CRPF recruitment training centre in Amethi on Thursday.
Mr Gandhi cited the example of Punjab where peace was restored after a long period of militancy and spoke of a Khalistan supporter joined political mainstream in Punjab after peace was restored in the state. Mr Gandhi said that due to peace in the presence of CRPF and Congress, the Akalis giving him a place in the political system.
