Andhra cops to check for similarities

Teams of the counter-intelligence wing of the AP police and the CID left to examine the blast site at Bodh Gaya to study possible similarities with the blasts in Dilshuknagar, Hyderabad, in February.

The teams comprised bomb experts and anti-terror specialists of the two wings.
A senior police official of the intelligence department said that Dilsukhnagar and Bodh Gaya were both on the list of targets as revealed by Indian Mujahideen terror suspect Maqbool, and both were attacked.
“It is very clear that the DIlshuknagar blast is the handiwork of IM operatives, particularly Tabrez, Waqas and Yasin Bhatkal. The trio is absconding and they have the potential to strike again,” the official said. “Our basic aim was to study the blast site, the material used in the bombs and the type of improvised explosive devices.”
