Alarm bells ring for ‘tamil nationalists’
The hanging of Afzal Guru on Saturday has predictably rung the alarm bell for “Tamil nationalists” and human rights activists who cried foul over the UPA government “hurrying the execution in hush-hush manner only for denying the BJP a potent poll plank”. They are worried that the three men sentenced to death in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case — Perarivalan, Santhan and Murugan — would be the next in the queue for the hangman’s noose at the Vellore prison.
