Air India pilot does a gangnam
New Delhi: A man claiming to be an Air India pilot is flying into stormy weather after uploading a song on YouTube, critical of Air India's management, riddled with expletives and sexist remarks.
While some pilots of the airline identified the man as a “well-behaved” co-pilot of Air India, trained on the swanky Boeing 787 Dreamliner that was recently grounded, others say they have not heard of the song or the singer.
Starting with a disclaimer, the young male singer in pilot’s uniform tells his “friends and fellow-pilots” that the content is not meant to hurt anyone’s feelings and that he “loves Air India.” “I am working in Air India. I am in India but not in the air,” run the lyrics, a reference to cancelled flights. And then in true Gangnam-rap style, he belts out, “They don't let me leave, they don't give me NOC, please tell them it is not air force, I ain’t at LoC.”
The song has gone viral. “They give me no money. So got no place to go,” he sings, adding the sexist, “How do I fly with women in their sixties? They call them air-hostesses, we call them aunties.”
