AI pilots say decision to call off strike stays

Even as recent talks with the Air India management failed, sources in the Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) said that their decision to officially call off the strike would remain unchanged.

“We have officially called off the strike and maintain our position in accordance with the directions from the court. As is popularly believed, the strike does not continue. All of us have officially reported to work and signed the attendance registers,” said a senior IPG functionary. The first signs of a reconciliation failed when pilots and the AI management disagreed right on the first day of reconciliation meetings on July 6.
