Advani meets former aide, 2 mps at tihar

The BJP on Wednesday said its two ex-MPs and L.K. Advani’s former aide Sudheendra Kulkarni, arrested in the cash-for-vote scam, are innocent as they had only “exposed” the use of money to save the UPA-I government during the

2008 trust vote. Mr Advani, along with senior party colleague Arun Jaitley, Wednesday visited Tihar Jail and met Kulkarni and two ex-MPs. These two leaders spent about half-an-hour with Kulkarni, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora, sources said. BJP leader Sushma Swaraj had met both former MPs earlier this month.
Earlier during the day, defending the three, Mr Jaitley said, “False entrapment cannot co-exist with bribery”.
