Action feterna bags Intl Award

Anantapur: Dr. Y. V. Malla Reddy, a representative of NGO, Action Feterna, a sister concern of Rural Development Trust from Anantapur, had received ‘International status Award for Individual Contribution for International Integration’ by Global Achievers Foundation for achievements in strengthening micro agriculture, self help group system and other activities in Anantapur district.
Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Mr. Korn Dabarnasi presented the award to Dr. Y. V. Malla Reddy at Bangkok, on January 4, , a press release by Action Feterna, said on Saturday.
After the award presentation, Mr. Malla Reddy had an interaction with Mr Korn Dabaransi over steps to eradicate poverty and other issues.
“They discussed at length about poverty and under development affecting India, Thailand and other Asian countries; and the role of international co-operation in addressing poverty and under development across Asia, particularly in India,” the Action Feterna said.
“Mr. Dabarnasi strongly opined that poverty could be overcome if India, China and South-East Asian countries come together in trade and development as they constitute more than half of world population.”
Both Mr. Reddy and Mr. Dabarnasi felt that educated youth and resources can contribute to national growth and equitable development.
Action Feterna’s centre located on outskrits of Anatnapur town, was involved actively with self help groups in 230 villages in 8 mandals in Anantapur district.
