Act of revenge? 30-yr woman is killed in Rohini

In yet another gruesome killing, a 30-year-old woman taking her five-year-old son to school in a rickshaw was shot dead by an unidentified assailant on a motorcycle in north Delhi’s Rohini’s Sector 16-B on Tuesday morning.

The woman, shot in the head, died on the spot. No one has yet been arrested, but the police suspects it was a revenge killing. The priest of a temple, in front of which the murder took place, was detained for questioning.
Meenakshi, 30, was the second wife of Parwinder Rana, who allegedly divorced his first wife to wed Meenakshi over five years ago. The victim’s mother alleged the first wife’s brother held Meenakshi responsible for the divorce and often threatened to kill her. A police team has been sent to Sonepat, where the brother lives.
