Accused was with actress when cops arrested others

In a fresh twist to the Park Street gangrape case, it has been found that prime accused Kader Khan, still on the run, was with his “girlfriend” Nusrat Jahan, a Tollywood actress, at a hotel in Mumbai on February 18 when the detective department of the Kolkata police arrested three co-accused from the city.
The detective department mentioned this startling fact in the chargesheet filed at the Bankshall court on May 10. Even the name of the hotels, details of Kader’s stay and bills collected by the detective department were attached with the chargesheet.
Nusrat on February 20 had admitted of having an affair with Kader in the past but totally denied of being in touch with him in wake of the case. However, the detective department’s chargesheet says, Kader checked into a four-star hotel at 3.20 pm on February 16 and checked out at 7.05 am on February 18. In the meantime, Nusrat travelled to Mumbai and met Kader, a detective department officer disclosed. On February 18 afternoon, the duo checked into a three-star corporate hotel at 12.28 pm, the chargesheet adds.
Ironically, on the very same day, the detective department arrested three co-accused: Kader’s brother Naser Khan, Ruman Khan and Sumit Bajaj.
In the evening, the then joint commissioner of police (crime) Damayanti Sen announced their arrest during a press conference at Lalbazar and more importantly, confirmed the rape of the 37-year-old woman.
On February 19, Kader and Nusrat checked out of the hotel at 6.19 am, the chargesheet elaborates, adding that the bill of `5,917 was made in the name of the duo.
While Kader disappeared, Nusrat returned to city. Asked if she stayed with Kader in Mumbai, Nusrat on Monday vehemently denied it.
“I went to Mumbai for some work. I did not meet him. Anyway...I will not talk about it as I am out of it now and I am not aware of anything,” the actress claimed.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
