Abducted cop murdered by maoists
Suspected Maoists killed a police man abducted by them a week ago in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Narayanpur district, the police said on Sunday.
Body of police constable Dhansai Sori (25) was recovered at Maharabeda, a forested village, in the district on Sunday morning.
The deceased jawan, who was posted with Benur police station in the district, was abducted by Naxals when he was returning to district headquarters town of Narayanpur along with his friend Ghasiyaram on July 21. While he was held hostage, Ghasiyaram was released the next day.
“The jawan was lynched by Naxals. It appears the rebels deferred his execution for a week to kill him on July 28 coinciding the beginning of their martyrs’ week observation”, a police officer said.
