AAI chairman reviews ongoing expansion, modernisation works

Airports Authority of India (AAI) chairman V.P. Agarwal on Thursday reviewed the ongoing expansion and modernisation works at the airport here.

Agarwal inspected the works presently underway at the domestic and international terminals and advised officials to speeden up the work, official sources said.

With Chennai fast turning out to be an industrial hub and an investment destination, the airport located outside the city is being expanded, the works for which were undertaken a few years back after overcoming land acquisition hurdles.
