9 cops named, Shah spared
The Gujarat CID crime has chargesheeted nine cops including three IPS officials D.G. Vanjara and Vipul Agarwal of Gujarat cadre and Dinesh M.N. of Rajasthan cadre in Tulsi Prajapati fake encounter case. However, the state government’s CID has not named minister Amit Shah in the chargesheet. The CBI has arrested state minister for home Amit Shah in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.
In a 1,000 page chargesheet filed in Danta court in Banaskantha district where Tulsiram was bumped off in a fake encounter in December 200, the state police has admitted Tulsiram was killed in a fake encounter. Tulsiram was sole witness in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case and therefore he was eliminated.
“We have chargesheeted nine cops for staged killing of Tulsi Prajapati. Moreover, a separate supplementary chargesheet will be filed against D.G. Vanjara and Dinesh M.N., who are the prime accused along with Ashish Pandya and Vipul Agarwal,” investigation officer R.K. Patel said when contacted.
Meanwhile, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) here on Friday concluded interrogation of Amit Shah, former junior home minister currently lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in connection with the fake encounter of Sohrabuddin and murder of his wife Kauser Bi.
As per the court order, the agency was allowed to interrogate Shah inside jail from July 28 to 30 with video recording of the proceedings.
“We have finished the interrogation of Shah in jail,” said CBI official, who refused to divulge the details.
