7 DMK ministers ready to jump fence
Several DMK leaders are said to be sending feelers to AIADMK for a crossover.
Sources said Anitha Radhakrishnan has been keeping aloof — his absence was conspicuous at a recent demonstration led by DMK deputy general secretary M.K. Stalin against the government decision to dismiss public welfare workers.
Some leaders in the DMK camp are reportedly keen to cross over, fearing action in land-grab cases.
The current crises in the DMK camp — including incarceration of party leaders for the 2G spectrum scam and power struggles within — seem to have demoralized leaders.
AIADMK sources, however, said no decision had been taken on accommodating these leaders. They said at least seven former ministers had sent feelers and were awaiting response from AIADMK.
It is said that they might join the party in December.
