34 hospitalised after ammonia gas leakage in Gujarat

As many as 34 people were admitted in hospital on friday following ammonia gas leakage in a private food packaging unit here, the police said.

The incident took place around 10 00am in Karjan, about 40 km from here, triggering a scare in the area, they said.

Those affected complained of breathing problems and were immediately taken to hospital, the police said.

Four patients who were seriously affected were admitted to SSG hospital here while others are undergoing treatment in a hospital at Karjan, they added.
