3 killed as MLA's vehicle collides with truck

Three persons were killed and three others injured on Monday when a vehicle from an independent MLA's cavalcade collided with a truck near Unchahar area, police said here.

Baboo Singh (48), Pappu Parihar (42) and Manmohan (33) were killed when the jeep in which they were travelling, which was part of MLA Akhilesh Singh's cavalcade, collided with a truck at Arkha on Monday morning, they said.

The injured were rushed to the district hospital from where one of them with serious injuries has been referred to Lucknow, the police said. Singh, who is an independent MLA from Sadar constituency, was on his way to Vindhyachal when the accident occurred, they added.
