3 injured in firing in Bandipora

At least three persons were on Monday injured when security forces allegedly opened fire to quell stone-throwing protestors in Bandipora district, official sources said here. A large number of protestors gathered at Ajas area of Bandipora district and started raising provocative slogans, the sources said. They said a section of the crowd started pelting stones at the security forces, who fired warning shots to disperse them. Three persons were injured in the incident, the sources said, adding one of the injured has been refereed to a hospital here.
