2 men spray liquid on woman, loot Rs 60,000

In a case of attention diversion, two men sprayed liquid on a noon-meal organiser at a panchayath union middle school and robbed her handbag containing Rs 60,000 in cash near Pallavaram on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, Saraswathi of Minjur who returned from panchayat union middle school at Thirusulam went to a bank at Pallavaram and withdrew Rs 60,000.

While she was proceeding on the road, two men followed her and sprayed some liquid on her after which she developed instant itching.

The men who found the woman struggling with her itching snatched the handlag and fled the scene.
She immediately sought the assistance of a nearby government school and reported the matter to Pallavaram police station.

Pallavaram police has registered a case and the investigations are on.
