2 UP girls ‘raped’ by 5 policemen

In yet another shocking incident, two minor girls were allegedly raped by five policemen at Mauranipur in Jhansi district on Wednesday.

Nazneen, a woman constable, whose daughter is one of the victims, met the DIG with her complaint.
He ordered an inquiry and the victims were sent for medical examination. No arrests have been made so far.
Inspector general (crime) G.P. Sharma said he had no knowledge of incident, but added “something had happened in Jhansi”.
Sources said the two girls were found unconscious at Mauranipur Wednesday forenoon.
The two girls told their parents they were drugged by five constables and then raped.
The sources said the girls had identified the accused. One of the girls’ father is also in the police.
