13/2: I.M. man says Bhatkal role possible
The startling disclosure by a key operative of the Indian Mujah-ideen, Mohammed Qafeel Ahmed, that the magnetic bomb attack on the Israeli diplomat on February 13 had all the “markings of a perfect Yasin Bhatkal kind of operation”, has thro-wn the intelligence and security agencies into a tizzy.
Qafeel, a member of the IM’s Darbhanga module picked up on Tuesday from Darbhanga, is considered the “right hand man” of Yasin Bhatkal.
Bhatkal had assigned Qafeel the role of recruiting and communicating among modules of IM both within the country and outside.
Thus, his revelations are being taken very seriously by the investigating agencies.
