13 Germans on auto drive for charity

A group of German nationals have adopted Lord Ganesha as their logo for their 2,500-km-long journey on auto rickshaw to raise money for three projects in India. The 12 German citizens spent their entire day in Jaipur on Thursday decorating the five auto rickshaws to be used for the journey.
The five teams of the German nationals will start their journey from Jaipur on 15 October and the Journey will be concluded at Mamallapuram in Tamilnadu.
The members of the group decided to collect money through this adventure rally. “The money raised will be given to Hearkids Trust serving in Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, the Hockey Village foundation which is training the boys and girls in hockey in a village in Rajasthan and Mangreen working for Tsunami-hit areas in Tamil Nadu,” said organiser of the journey Daniel Kaerger. “Participants are excited to explore India’s beauty during the journey. We chose India because it is so rich in culture, we love the land of India and its people,” he said. “We hired five auto rickshaws from Jaipur. Three boys skilled in drawing helped decorate the auto rickshaws,” said Andrea, who runs Hockey Village project.

Later, the Reddy lieutenant hastened to reasssure the BJP state governmentthat there was no threat to the Sadananda Gowda government either from him or his supporters, even as speculation over Mr Sreeramulu’s future course of action was rife, particularly over whether he intended to float his ownparty and stand for elections from Bellary as an independent.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
