100%, they make CAT look so easy
Bengaluru: An Infosys employee and an alumnus of the National Public School (NPS), Bengaluru, have done the city proud in CAT 2012, held by IIM Kozhikode and Prometric.
While Mr Jaskaran Singh Sachdeva of Infosys gto an impressive 100 percentile, Sowjanya Kanuri, formerly of NPS, toted up 99.99 per cent in the results announced on Wednesday.
Bengaluru has more reason to be proud as 157 students from the city have percentiles above 99, a number beaten only by Delhi and Mumbai.
Mr Sachdeva, an NIT Bhopal alumnus, is the only non IITian and non-engineering candidate to have got 100 percentile. "I couldn’t crack the exam last year and so I concentrated on my weak areas and continued my efforts," he said, adding that IIM-Ahmedabad was his first choice.
Ms Kanuri, who is currently doing Electrical and Electronics Engineering at NIT, Suratkal, is one of only four girls in the country to get a 99.9 percentile.
Both toppers said their science backgrounds proved invaluable in cracking the prestigious management test.
But IITians stole the show overall. Eight out of the 10 toppers , who are from IITs, have perfect scores.
