10 IAS and 6 IPS officers transferred in UP
Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 10 IAS and six IPS officers, including two district magistrates and a divisional commissioner.
District magistrate of Aligarh K. Ravindra Nayak has been sent to Gorakhpur as commissioner, while district magistrate of Jyotiba Phule Nagar Anil Kumar will take his place, an official release issued here on Wednesday said.
Additional commissioner entertainment tax S.K. Dwivedi would be the new DM of Jyotiba Phule Nagar, while commissioner Gorakhpur P.K. Mohanty has been sent to Kanpur in the same capacity.
Principal secretary higher education Manoj Kumar has been shifted to general administration, while secretary tourism and culture Avnish Awasthi has been given the additional charge of higher education.
IG stamp and registration Himanshu Kumar goes to national integration as secretary and Amit Kumar Ghosh, who was awaiting posting, takes his place.
MD Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Pathsarthi Sen Sharma has been shifted to consolidation as commissioner and Pranjal Yadav takes his place, the release said.
Among the IPS officers, IG, Gorakhpur Chandra Prakash has been made IG Kanpur, while DIG Faizabad Rajesh Kumar Rai goes to Kanpur as DIG.
IG intelligence Sandeep Salunke has been sent to Gorakhpur as IG and SP Intelligence Shailendra P Tripathi has been made Bahraich SP.
Vijay Kumar would be the new IG intelligence and DIG Ashok Mutha Jain would be the new DIG of Faizabad.
All the transfers were routine, an official said.
