‘Probe scripted for Rahul remark’

The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) said on Wednesday that after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi gave statements equating the RSS with SIMI and spoke of Hindu terrorism, the investigating agencies began “scripting” the probe to ratify his statements.
“There is a larger conspiracy to frame the RSS and divert attention from Jihadi terrorism for the sake of vote bank politics. People at the centre and some in the Congress are a part of this game plan. Mr Rahul Gandhi gave such statements and suddenly the investigating agencies began linking the blast accused with the Sangh which proves that there is a design in what is happening,” said senior RSS leader and former spokesman Ram Madhav while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.
Mr Madhav said that Col. Purohit, an accused in the Malegaon blasts, had been found to be conspiring against RSS leaders. “How can one who is plotting against RSS suddenly become a tool for the RSS?” he asked. The RSS, Mr Madhav said, will no longer take this misinformation campaign lying down.
“We are launching a door-to-door campaign in UP from February 6 and our 10,000 workers will go from door-to-door to talk to people and dispel doubts, if any. Booklets and handbills that explain the entire conspiracy and the stand taken by RSS will also be distributed during the campaign. The RSS will fight the battle, both politically and legally,” he stated.
Replying to a question, Mr Ram Madhav said that the RSS was willing to fully cooperate with the investigating agencies if the probe was transparent and impartial. “At the moment, evidences are being fabricated, selective leaks are being made to the media,” Mr Madhav said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
