‘Ensure govt lasts full term’
The Karnataka BJP government is caught between the devil and the deep sea when it comes to handling the Karnataka crisis.
The BJP leadership is of the view that the government should last its full term, even if it had to let go off the Reddy brothers, with its image intact. But that’s too much for an asking.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s image which has taken a beating because of allegations of its ministers in Karnataka being involved in illegal mining wants to emerge unscathed from this impasse.
According to sources, When Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa called on Mr L.K. Advani, he was asked by Mr Advani if he could save the government in the event of the Reddy brothers getting dropped to which the chief minister replied in the affirmative.
